Thirteen volunteers gave a combined total of 51 hours clearing fallen and dead trees from the canal. The weather stayed dry right up until we were packing up, when we headed off to meet members of the Widnes Historical Society. They kindly presented us with a certificate in recognition of all the work we’ve been doing along the canal in Widnes.
